This is your chance to discover Indiana’s Continental Divide. Here you can walk the trails, visit the buffalo and check out Indiana’s native flora and fauna.

Continental Crossing Trail

Steps: 2000 Distance: .9 Miles Time: 45-50 Minutes

Take in the picturesque scenery as you wander. The trail offers a gentle introduction to nature's beauty, perfect for leisurely strolls and casual explorations. Take a picture a whopping 840 feet above sea level.

The Continental Divide picnic area is steps away.

Notre Dame Overlook Trail

Steps: 1000 Distance: .5 Miles Time: 25-45 Minutes

On this hike, you will take a quick trip up the Notre Dame Overlook. Here you can marvel at the iconic Golden Dome and see Touchdown Jesus. Look to the heavens as planes are seemingly close enough to touch, as they arrive and depart from the South Bend International Airport.

Orchard Woodland Trail

Steps: 204 Distance: .15 Miles Time: 4-6 Minutes

Your scenic stroll begins at the cherry orchard. Follow the signs to the Rockne Overlook. Continue on through a recovering woodland until you reach the Continental Divide. From there, you’re on your own. Notre Dame Overlook? South Bend Farms Barn? If you find some wild raspberries, feel free to indulge.

Lydick Bog Trail

Steps: 1500 Distance: .75 Miles Time: 45-50 Minutes

The glaciers left Northern Indiana with a unique ecosystem. This trail offers a glimpse into a world untouched by time, characterized by its ancient bogs and moss-covered landscapes. The Lydick Bog is a model of environmental preservation. Here you can find rare carnivorous plants and other flora not found anywhere else.
